Getting in touch

He comes like a gush of wind, carries along mass information that storm through you in a tick of a second.
If you are lucky enough, you will able to catch its tail. For most of the time, he is just passing through.

Smell, imagine, or sense with all your mighty senses. Be receptive, open and aware of him.

Listen to what he says,
as he is your guide, your inspiration, your hunch, and notion.

Share with me how your 'inspiration' visits you. :)

Sushi Weekend

The day I learned how to make sushi. And how I managed to impressed my mom. I love it when I step into Japanese restaurants, and get to see how the chefs make their crafty sushi behind the counter with amazement. Even the girls in suite sitting in rows with sake on their hand would go 'wow, he's so cool' .....

I know I will never get the chance to impress girls like that, not in a lifetime, at least! That's why I came up with this blog post. :)

Nevertheless, the least I can do to keep myself contented, is to show off my creations, here in my blog. That would at least keep me 'happy' for awhile. And to hide the taste from anyone.

Cem and Selma: Family portraits

Cem and Selma are such a wonderful couple. Not only that, they both make a great father and mother! Cem is a funny man that keeps cracking jokes during the shoot. Baby Cem is the main star, everyone loves him! He's so cute, he likes to chase squirrels and scream over them. Cem and Selma had to run with him and at the end of the day they are both exhausted. I'm privilege to be their photographer and to capture this special occasion with them.

But he's not quite good at handling the stroller yet! This moment is magical!

Oxford part I

Few weeks ago I ventured down to Oxford. Took some shots there and here are the photos. I did not stay for long, merely a three hours walk around the area. And these photos illustrate what I see in this short period of time.

Buy me home

I stared at you
Captivated by your dolly eyes,
that sparkle forever so brightly
in my eyes.

Your milky coloured porcelain skin,
smoothed and soothed my disturbing mind.
You beckoned me with a smile
and I decided to bring you home.

Doll theme shoot with Emma.

It makes me wonder sometime, do you have your favourite green baret toy soldier, or cute little princess doll still deep within your childhood memories? I used to have mine, I recalled that I chopped them up in pieces, or painted them with colours so wrong that a colour blind person will even shook their head in disappointment. That my aunties and mom will dropped their jaw in disbelief and decided not to buy me anymore toys. Apart from painting and cutting them, I like to burn my toys, and I'll enjoy the effect as they melt with awe. I'm sure these burnt corpse soldiers and dinosaurs will haunt me one day in my dreams.

Not that I like to destroy my toys, it's just that when I'm small I'm always fascinated by fire. How special they are and how fury they could be. I like to play with fire and I almost got the whole house burnt down once when my parents were asleep in their room. The next morning they saw the couch is burnt in charcoal black. Ah wells, there goes my pocket money and weeks of room detention.
